Support Gunner Strategies

Page history last edited by PBworks 5 years, 3 months ago

The objective of the support gunner is to supress the enemy, defend an area, or to take out a large group of enemies. Support gunners usually hang back behind teammates to give indirect, supressive fire to drive back opponents. Support gunners are alos useful in defense situations because of their rate of fire that they can shoot at an enemy. The most important job of a gunner is to force an enemy into a postition of defense that benefits their teammates. The importance of the gunner is not to be fast and manuverable, like snipers and infantry, but to hold key areas of the battlefield

Section 1: Defending

Gunners play a key role in defending an area such as a bunker or flag. Provide supressive fire upon your enemies to prevent them from making a dash towards your base.

Section 2: Offense

Gunners are great assets to a team on the offensive. They are most sucessful when getting ambushed or protecting medics who helping a wounded soldier. If you ever find your team in a tight situation like evacutaing hostages from a building, place your gunner in a position where he can easially supress the enemy. He can buy your team time to complete the necessary task at the time.

CQC Offense:

A gunner can protect you back when manuvering through a CQC field. They can provide defense and supressive fire as you are trying to escape where you are pinned down. Keep the gunner in the rear of the group to protect your team mates from rear ambushes and other sneak attacks.
